Rubella [german measles] - what does this mean

Rubella is a highly contagious viral infection that is spread through contact with an infected person's respiratory secretions, such as coughing or sneezing. it is characterized by a red rash, fever, and swollen lymph nodes. complications from rubella can include hearing loss, encephalitis, and birth defects in pregnant women.
